mixsoon Bean Sunscreen in 2026: Why It’s Surging Again — and Why That Isn’t a New Launch

 30-SECOND VERDICT

- Why it’s surging again: In a Bangtan TV Suga’s Vlog filmed in Busan on 11 June 2026, the day before BTS opened the Arirang tour, Suga showed and applied Mixsoon’s Bean Sun Serum before a 10 km run (The Korea Herald). Billboard calls that “the latest” BTS-effect moment. The same product family was already on camera with Jimin and Jungkook in Disney+ Are You Sure?! Season 2 in December, and Cardi B posted Mixsoon products the previous September–October. mixsoon.us created the US listing on 7 January 2025 and published it on 8 January 2025 (PT). That is a re-acceleration, not a 2026 launch.
- Best for: Identifying the Mixsoon sunscreen in that coverage. Herald names Bean Sun Serum (SPF50+ / PA++++). Billboard’s shopping card, mixsoon.us, Ulta Item 2643837, and Allure name Bean Sunscreen SPF 50. Billboard also quotes a brand TikTok caption that says Bean Sun Serum. Same family. Not Bean Essence. This is not a wear recommendation.
- Think twice if: You want an independent wear test, or a new-launch story. Independent user-experience evidence was not obtained. Herald’s SPF50+ / PA++++ and the US SPF 50 pages are not one proven formula. Opened coverage is news plus brand and affiliate shopping copy.
- Named sources mention: Celebrity sightings and brand/affiliate texture lines (“serum-like,” “basically like a lotion,” “no white cast”). Those are not tester reviews and not “users repeatedly.”
- KCI evidence: Medium on identity and the June 2026 re-acceleration timeline. Insufficient on wear.

BTS members and Cardi B appear as sightings / features / “spotted applying.” Opened pages do not establish them as official Mixsoon ambassadors. On the same Billboard page, Jin is called Laneige’s first male ambassador in 2024. Mixsoon is not given that language.

WHAT IT IS

mixsoon / Mixsoon Bean Sun Serum is the name The Korea Herald uses: a sunscreen with SPF50+ / PA++++ and a lightweight, serum-like texture.

Bean Sunscreen SPF 50 (card title: Mixsoon Bean Sunscreen SPF 50 Moisturizer) is the English shopping name on Billboard, mixsoon.us, Ulta, and Allure. Billboard’s quoted brand caption also says Bean Sun Serum. Herald’s Cardi B paragraph spells “Bean Sun Screen.” Treat those as one Mixsoon sunscreen family, not a second proven SKU, and not Bean Essence.

Do not collapse the labels. Herald prints SPF50+ / PA++++. US pages print SPF 50 and do not print PA++++.

US-label listing facts only (do not merge these into one global formula):

| US page | What it prints |
| --- | --- |
| mixsoon.us — https://mixsoon.us/products/mixsoon-bean-sunscreen-50ml | Bean Sunscreen 50 ml / $28. Created 7 January 2025 / published 8 January 2025 (PT). |
| Ulta Item 2643837 — https://www.ulta.com/p/bean-sunscreen-spf-50-moisturizer-pimprod2052508?sku=2643837 | Mixsoon Bean Sunscreen SPF 50 Moisturizer, 1.69 oz / $19.50 |
| Allure — https://www.allure.com/gallery/best-korean-sunscreen | Printed US chemical filters: avobenzone 3%, homosalate 7%, octisalate 5%, octocrylene 5%. Allure also prints $18. |

mixsoon.us prints an INCI that omits those four actives. Leave that as an unresolved listing split. Do not invent one global formula.

Billboard affiliate stickers (undated on that page): $18 Amazon / $19.50 Ulta. Those stickers may stay as affiliate widget copy. Billboard’s fermented-extract line (soybean, pomegranate, barley, Korean pear) is retailer copy, not a lab list.

| When | What opened pages show |
| --- | --- |
| 7 Jan 2025 (PT) | mixsoon.us created Bean Sunscreen 50 ml |
| 8 Jan 2025 (PT) | mixsoon.us published Bean Sunscreen 50 ml |
| Previous September–October | Cardi B posts Mixsoon products, including Bean Sun Screen with Bean Cleansing Oil and Centella Cleansing Foam |
| December | Jimin and Jungkook apply Mixsoon’s sunscreen in Disney+ Are You Sure?! Season 2 |
| 11 June 2026 | Suga’s vlog, Busan; applies Bean Sun Serum before a 10 km run after rehearsal |
| 12 June 2026 | Arirang tour kickoff, Busan (context for the vlog) |

STRENGTHS (ATTRIBUTED — NOT A WEAR PANEL)

There is no independent wear sample. What exists is positioning and celebrity/affiliate language.

Herald restates a lightweight, serum-like texture. Suga, after applying on camera: “It’s basically like a lotion.” Billboard (affiliate) and a quoted mixsoon global TikTok caption repeat lightweight / lotion-like / no white cast / no heavy finish. Cardi B, as quoted by Herald, compared the lack of white cast to putting Vaseline on her face and called sunscreen “life-changing.” Those are celebrity and marketing lines, not a user panel.

DRAWBACKS (ATTRIBUTED — NOT A WEAR PANEL)

Opened pages do not supply an independent wear-drawback set (eye sting, pilling, oxidation, reapply diary). The honest limit is the wear gap.

A reader buying Ulta 2643837 gets the US-named SPF 50 listing, not Herald’s SPF50+ / PA++++ Serum wording. Allure’s printed filter set and the mixsoon.us INCI do not match. That is a labeling split, not a wear finding.

Do not read Billboard’s Amazon unit claim as a KCI fact. It was not independently verified.

MIXED OPINIONS

The 2026 heat is a Suga-vlog re-acceleration of a product already listed in the US in January 2025 and already shown with other BTS members and with Cardi B. Billboard treats the clip as fan-attention during the Arirang tour, not as a product debut.

Ambassadorship is the other split in the coverage language. Sighting words for Mixsoon; “ambassador” on that Billboard page is reserved for Jin × Laneige.

Herald’s SPF50+ / PA++++ and Billboard’s / US SPF 50 are not written here as one invented string.

ALTERNATIVES

This piece does not rank other sunscreens. The only identity fence required: do not buy Bean Essence thinking it is this SPF.

Review platform
- Wear remains insufficient. Celebrity and brand/affiliate texture lines are not a review corpus.

Trend source
- The June 2026 trigger on these pages is the Suga vlog (filmed 11 June, reported by Herald; “spotted applying” on Billboard), plus earlier Disney+ and Cardi B sightings on Herald, and the January 2025 US listing dates.

KCI used only the opened sources. Celebrity quotes were left as sightings. They were not rewritten as user reviews. Amazon unit counts were not published as fact.
